On Saturday, February 13, 2021, Juanita Packer McGraw, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 92.
Juanita was born on August 1, 1928 in Clarkton, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Ed Packer and Mary Ann Thompson Packer; her husband Thomas Wilson McGraw; and son Thomas Edd McGraw. Juanita leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Zoe McGraw; a grandson, Byron McGraw and wife Kimberly McGraw; and many nieces and nephews.
Juanita made Clarkton her home after her and her husband retired. Both lived and worked in Panama for 27 years, where her husband, Wilson, worked as a Ship Pilot on the Panama Canal and she worked with American Automobile Association (AAA). She loved her family and friends and held them closely to her heart. She also loved working outdoors. Just about every afternoon, in the summers, you could find her out tending the garden.
Juanita was a member of Clarkton Presbyterian Church and loved her church community very dearly. She was an active member and participated often in different functions. She was a strong believer in her faith and held the church in the highest regards.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Brown Marsh Cemetery, with Rev. Barrett Ingram officiating.
