Julia Pait Woodburn 87, of Elizabethtown went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Robert (Bob) Pait and Marinda Evers Pait, her husband, Haywood M. Woodburn and her siblings, Layton Pait, Bertie M. Ludlum, Elery Pait, Leonard Pait, Charles Pait, Monnie Dowless, Gaston Ross Pait and Ira Nuby Pait. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Julia or “Aunt Judy”, as she was lovingly known, was a member of Elizabethtown Pentecostal Holiness Church/Living Springs. She was president of the Women’s Ministries and helped to lead a highly successful Missions Program at home and abroad.
She was very active with the Hospitality Committee and was famous for her homemade lemon pound cakes. She loved to bake and deliver them to the sick and shut-ins and to share God’s love with them. Her kindness will always be remembered.
A special thank you to her friends at Bladen East Health and Rehab for their loving care of her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown. Rev. Jimmy Pope will be officiating the service. All attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
