Karen Hendricks

September 19, 1958 — July 21, 2017

Karen Elizabeth Hendricks, 58, of Whiteville, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents: Felix and Annie Ruth Hardgraves and one brother: Ted Hardgraves. Karen is survived by her husband: Jim Hendricks of the home; two sons: Stephen Stanley and wife Amanda of Whiteville; Michael Stanley and wife Angela of Lake Waccamaw; one daughter: Kristina Stanley Savage and husband Chris of Lake Waccamaw; one brother: John Hardgraves and wife Charlene of Chadbourn; four sisters: Debbie Bass of Clarkton, Ann Marlowe and husband Hartford of Clarkton, Jane Ammons and husband Donald of Evergreen, and Lane Bartley and husband Michael of North Whiteville; three grandchildren: Amber Stanley, Hannah Stanley and Reed Savage.

Karen was a dedicated, wonderful and beautiful lady. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren with all of her heart and always put them first. Karen had a giving spirit and always had an ear to listen to others. She worked at McNeill's Pharmacy for 20 years or more. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 3-5pm at Western Prong Baptist Church in Whiteville. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 5pm at Western Prong Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Wilson will be officiating services. Burial will follow in Clarkton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Prong Baptist Church 167 Peacock Road Whiteville, NC 28472.
