Kathleen Hilton

Kathleen Potter Hilton, 93, of Pineville, NC formerly of Elizabethtown entered into eternal rest on November 23, 2013.
Kay was born December 3, 1919. She was the second of five children born to Charles and Letha Potter of Kelly, NC. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Ezell Shuford Hilton. Also passing before her were two brothers and one sister; Rudolph Potter, Sam Potter, and Mary P. Wells. She is survived by her son Charles D. Hilton and his wife Betty of White Lake, NC and by her daughter, Carolyn H. Sellers and her husband Jerry of Charlotte, NC.
Kay was the proud grandmother of three grandsons; William Hilton and wife, Paige of Atlanta, GA, Dean Hilton and wife, Jenna of White Lake, NC and Justin Sellers of Charlotte, NC. She was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Abby, Zeb, Molly and Brody Hilton. She is also survived by her sister Daphne "Billie" Hardee, her husband Marion Francis Hardee of Elizabethtown and many loved nieces and nephews.
Kay was a long time devoted member of The Elizabethtown Baptist Church and request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: The Elizabethtown Baptist Church "Rebuild the Vision" fund, or, "The Elizabethtown Christian Academy". Donations should be mailed to 1800 West Broad Street, Elizabethtown, NC 28337. There will be a memorial service to remember Kay's life on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. The family will receive friends and guests prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at the Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
