Kathleen Priest

Kathleen B. Priest, 85, of Clarkton passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Notley and Helen Barrett, brothers: William, Jack, Earl, and Perrie Barrett and one sister Maude Miller. Kathleen is survived by her husband Ned Priest of the home, son Steven Priest and wife Jane of Missouri; daughter Linda Foster and husband Ray of Clarkton; sister Audrey Sampson of Virginia; four grandchildren: Brittany, Katie, Pam, and Karen and five great grandchildren.

Kathleen was born in Washington, DC in 1931. She was a devoted wife to her sweetheart Ned Priest, whom she met in 1952, while he was stationed in Washington with the U.S. Air Force. They had two children, Linda and Steve. After her husband's retirement in 1985, they moved back to his hometown in Bladen County where they would make a life together. Kathleen cherished her family and they will miss her a great deal.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life service.
