Larry Mckeithan

Larry "Bo" McKeithan, 65 of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 4, 2014. He was born on May 26, 1949 in New Hanover County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Elizabeth Atkins McKeithan; and his in-laws, Curtis and Mildred Hilburn.

Bo is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Patricia "Trigger " 'McKeithan of the home; his daughter, Wendi Allen and husband Nathan of Bladenboro; grandsons, Clint, Clay, and Cade Allen; brother Ronnie McKeithan and wife Mary of Oak Island, NC; sister June Brown and husband Wayne of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; nephews Kevin Brown of Florence, SC, Barry Brown and wife Dona Jo of Darlington, SC, and Jamie Carroll of Bladenboro; and several great nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Bladenboro High School in 1967. He was employed for Converse Footwear Company of Lumberton for thirty-three years. He was also employed by Bladen County as a 911 Addressing Technician for seven years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Bladenboro since 1993 where he served as a choir member, deacon, groundskeeper where he enjoyed planting flowers, social committee, Vacation Bible School worker for twenty years, church greeter, and enjoyed cooking for many church functions.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Arthur Smith, and Rev. Bruce Cannon. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
