Larue Dorsett

LaRue Williamson Dorsett, 80, of Clarkton entered into eternal rest Monday, September 22, 2008.



Mrs. Dorsett was a longtime member of White Plains Presbyterian Church and an active member of the Brunswick County Senior Citizens Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Dorsett; a son, Gerald Dorsett; three brothers and two sisters.



The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.



Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25, at 2:00pm at White Plains Presbyterian with the Dr. James D. Bartlett and Rev. Lewis Benton officiating. Burial will follow in White Plains Cemetery.



Flowers will be appreciated but memorials may be made to the White Plains Presbyterian Church, 6049 White Plains Church Road, Council, NC 28434.



Mrs. Dorsett is survived by a son, Ronnie Dorsett and wife Linda of Clarkton; two daughters, Brenda Lanier and husband David of Lake Waccamaw; Debbie Creech and husband Johnny Spartanburg, SC.; and a sister, Marlon Tedder of Hallsboro; a very special friend Sam Royal; eight grandchildren, Kip Lanier, Brent Lanier, Blake Dorsett, Ron Dorsett Jr. Jonathan Creech, Joshua Creech, Jamison Creech and April Dorsett also four great grandchildren, Tyler Dorsett, Josh Dorsett, Brenton Lanier and Olivia Lanier.
