Lewis Ransom

Lewis "Miles" Ransom, age 47, of Bladenboro passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011.

Miles was born in Bladen County on February 16, 1964 to William Bruce Ransom, Sr. and

Jo Lynn McKee Ransom. He was preceded in death by his father, William Bruce Ransom, Sr. Miles was very active in his church, he taught Sunday School, he loved to work in his garden and being outside, and he had over twenty-five years experience working with wood. He loved and was devoted to this family. He loved the Lord and he was Ready. A vast wealth of knowledge left this world with him and all of our lives were blessed by knowing him.



He is survived by his wife, Laura Ransom of the home; two sons, Lekye and Eli Ransom of the home;

his mother, Jo Lynn Ransom of Bladenboro; two brothers, Bruce Ransom, Jr. of Ohio and

Jonathan Edwards Ransom of Bladenboro; one sister, Audrey Strickland of Bladenboro.



The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Galeed Baptist Church from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Galeed Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Cannon and Dr. Mack Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.
