Lloyd E. Brisson, age 68 of Goldsboro, NC was called home on Thursday, January 7, 2021 after a long battle with COPD.
Lloyd, a native of Bladen County, was born on May 16, 1952 to Lloyd Jackson Brisson and Naomi Taylor Brisson of Dublin, NC. He was a graduate and star athlete of Tar Heel High School. After high school, he joined his father in Brisson and Son Logging for many years. Upon his father’s death, Lloyd began Brisson Wood which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2011.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and sisters: Peggy Brisson Smith and husband Charles of Garland, NC, Faye Brisson Cain and husband Wingate of White Oak, NC.
He is survived by his former wife, Patty Kelly Brisson of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; his beloved daughter, Tiffany Brisson Chenery and husband Josh; grandson, Peter Jackson “Jack” Chenery and granddaughter, Helen Louise Chenery, all of Raleigh. He is also survived by his sisters: Sylvia Gray Brisson of Little River, SC, Bobbie Brisson Singletary and Auburn Collins of Cherry Grove, SC; seven nieces and ten nephews.
Lloyd was an avid golfer and though it was his passion, it could not compare to the love he had for his family. He was devoted to his family all of his life but his grandchildren were the joy of his life.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 13th at 1pm in the Allen Cemetery, Bethel Church Road in Dublin, NC with Pastor Randy Andrews officiating. The family respectfully requires that you wear a mask and social distance during this time.
