Lloyd Hodge Jr.

Lloyd “Sonny” Hodge, Jr., 82, of Leland, formerly of Bladen County, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd and Julia Hodge and sister, JoAnn Hodge Greene. Lloyd leaves behind his loving wife of 65+ years: Ada Eloise Hodge of the home; two sons: Billy Lloyd Hodge and wife Patricia of Leland, Dennis George Hodge of Leland; two daughters: Rose Hodge Simmons of Leland, Cynthia Hodge-Autry of Wilmington; three sisters, four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Lloyd was by trade an auto body repairman. He enjoyed his job very much. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Lloyd will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service for immediate family only will be held on Friday, October 18th at 11 am in the Old Field Cemetery in Bladenboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
