Lois Ann Edwards Smith

Lois Ann Edwards Smith, 81, of Bladenboro passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Edwards and Edna Ransom Edwards. 

Lois leaves behind her beloved husband, Murphy Smith of the home; son, Steven Smith and wife, Alice of Bladenboro; grandson, Mason Smith and wife Hannah; brothers: J.C. Edwards of Whiteville, Horace Edwards, Kenneth Edwards and wife Bonnie, all of Bladenboro; sisters: Hazel Babson of Bladenboro, Murtice Ransom of Clarkton, Debbie Edwards and husband Delbert, Faye Brown and husband L.T., all of Bladenboro and several nieces and nephews.

Lois was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She enjoyed every moment she spent with her family. She was a Godly lady and prayer warrior who loved to talk about the Lord. She was a lifetime member of New Center Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sung in the church choir. Lois took pride in her dental career where she was able to meet a lot of people. She often times said that her greatest blessing was her family. She enjoyed cooking and her favorite place was the mountains. Her God-fearing spirit will forever be remembered. 

A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, November 5th in the Mt. Calvary Church Cemetery at 68 Mt. Calvary Rd Clarkton, NC 28433. The Reverend Charles Hester and Reverend Kevin Kinlaw will officiate the service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
