Louise Hester

Louise Hester, 93, of Bladenboro passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Bladen East Health and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Hester and Lila King Hester, her husband Irvin Hester, three sisters: Clara Lennon, Ruby Hester, Marjorie Hickman, two brothers: Wilbur Hester, Cleo Hester, and one daughter-in-law, Joyce Hester. Louise leaves behind one son, Charles Hester of Raleigh; one daughter, Joyce Stewart (Larry) of Charlotte; two sisters, Hazel Forlidas of Sunset Beach; Nancy Hester of Bladenboro; four grandchildren: Jessica Matthews (Guerry), Jeff Hester (Whitney), Jerry Hester (Julia), Leanne Spicer (Andy) and ten great grandchildren: Ben Matthews, Anna Matthews, Jack Hester, Joe Hester, Margaret Hester, Kate Hester, Mac Hester, Reynolds Hester, Daniel Spicer and Hannah Spicer.

Louise was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a genuine concern for her family and never forgot any of their birthdays. Louise loved her church and church family. Among her many talents, she could bake the best pound cake around. One could always find a piece of cake or chocolate at her house, as she loved it so. She was a practical, generous soul that will forever be missed.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church in Dublin officiated by Rev. Jason Lee. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the services. Burial in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin will follow the visitation.
