Maggie Davis

Maggie Jane Thompson Davis, 81, of 3742 Berry Lewis Road, Bladenboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 26, 2006 while at home.

Mrs. Davis was born on June 30, 1925 to Joe and Irene Thompson in Bladen County.

She was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her parents; two sons, Onley Davis Jr. and Thomas Davis; two brothers, one sister, and one son-in-law.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Onley Davis; two daughters, Joyce Wilkins of Bladenboro and Betty Jo Oxendine and husband, Alfred of Whiteville; one son, Roger Davis and wife Debby of Bladenboro; one sister, Thelma Wiederspahn of Bladenboro; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Bladen Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral service will be Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Butters Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Winebarger and Rev. Darrin Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery in Butters.
