Maggie Grimes

Maggie Burney Grimes, 99, of Tar Heel, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Colon and Flowers Burney; her husband, Ralph Grimes; four brothers, Archey, Paul, Earl, and Jerry Burney; and one sister, Ruby B. Priest. She is survived by her son, Jack Grimes and wife Annette of Tar Heel; daughter, Ann Grimes Brisson and husband Billy of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Woody, Wendell, Amy, Donna, and Anita; and ten great-grandchildren, Lauren, Paige, Brook, Shauna, Tiffany, Robert, Chance, Dalton, Laura, and Kaylee.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Tar Heel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. following visitation at Tar Heel Baptist Church with the Rev. Devon Varnam, Rev. Warren Hill, and the Rev. Dr. Mack Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Tar Heel Baptist Church Cemetery.
