Maggie Isabell Long, 88, of Clarkton entered into eternal rest Friday, June 20, 2008.
Mrs. Long was predeceased by her parents, Aquail and Fannie Blackwell Callihan; her husband, Ernest Dewey Long; one son, Robert Wade Long; three daughters, Martha Ann Long, Gladine Britt, and Mable Harris; and two sons-in-law, Harris Britt and Charles Patterson. She was also predeceased by one sister, Mollie Williams; five brothers, Andrew Callihan, Vance (John Tom) Callihan, Craven Callihan, Roy Callihan and Johnny Callihan; one grandchild, Annabell Britt and one great-grandchild, Devon Richardson.
She is survived by one Ernest Ray Long and wife, Phyllis, of Clarkton; four daughters, Kathy Patterson of Clinton, Virginia Hainsey and husband, Charles, of Salisbury, Nancy Biathrow and husband, Russ, of Fayetteville, Jane Skinner and husband, Eddie, of Riegelwood; two brothers, Bennett Callihan and Jack Callihan, both of Clarkton; two sisters, Maude Hughes of Bladenboro and Martha Ann Anderson of Detroit, Michigan; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is planned for Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, June 23, 2008 at 4:00 pm at Clarkton First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Pittman officiating. Burial will follow the service in Clarkton Cemetery.
