Mamie Seals

Mamie Seals, 87, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Davis and Mary Dove Davis, one son, Norman Spurling Jr., four brothers, Terue Davis, Dewey Davis, Paul Davis and Byron Davis, and three sisters, Clara Thompson, Larue D. Todd, and Barbara Davis. Mamie is survived by her husband, Billy Seals of Bladenboro, two stepsons, Richard Seals of Stedman and Gerald Seals (Norma) of Puerto Rico, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mamie was a loving, thoughtful Christian woman. She enjoyed helping others and staying active, whether cooking a meal or commuting someone to a doctor’s visit. Mamie loved the Lord and was an integral part of her home church, Greater Vision. She was known for her homecooked meals, especially her handmade biscuits. Her generous spirit will certainly be missed.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Elvin Meares, Rev. Henry Ward, and Rev. Larry Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bladenboro. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Steve Davis at the end of Catfish Farm Rd in Bladenboro.
