Mamie Tedder

Mamie Willoughby Tedder, 88, of Charlotte, NC died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.Tedder

She was born on July 19, 1926 in Bladen County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Jim "J.R." and Maggie Cain Willoughby. Mamie enjoyed many outdoor activities including surf fishing, cook outs, fish fry's and many other activities with her friends & neighbors at Independence Hill Baptist Church and the Glen at Highland Creek.

Survivors include a sister, Maty Willoughby and a brother, Frank Willoughby; daughter-in-law, Betty Tedder; grandson, Ray Tedder and wife Angie; great grandson, Brennan Tedder; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Tedder, a son, Milton Tedder, Sr, and numerous other brother and sisters.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at Independence Hill Baptist Church in Huntersville, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2014, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at James Funeral Home located at 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.

A graveside committal service will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at Bladen Memorial Garden Cemetery in Elizabethtown, NC.
