Margaret Alice Duncan age 85 of Bladenboro passed from this life on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Columbus Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Clara Bass; husband, William A. Duncan; a son, Johnny Adcox; sisters, Margie Benson and Elouise Chavis; and a brother Paul E. Bass.
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She was a member of New Light Freewill Baptist Church of Bladenboro and a charter member of Whiteville Assembly of God. She worked in Bladenboro Cotton Mill as a winder for twenty or more years.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda Griffith and husband Gabby and Linda Green and husband Terry all of Whiteville; five grandchildren, Mike Brown and wife Jamie, Jonna Carter and husband Tac, Charlene Gore and husband Michael, Kelly Langston, and Baron Griffith and wife Regina; nine great grandchildren, Jozee Brown and husband Josh, Lantz Brown, Dakoda Brown, Matthew Brown, Peyton Hunt, Rachel Carter, Morgan Carter, Hailey Gore and Makayla Gore; and two great, great grandchildren, Carter Warren and Keylei Brown. Her love and tenderness will be missed by everyone.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at New Light Freewill Baptist Church of Bladenboro, officiated by Rev. Terry Green and Rev. Tim Rausch, Sr. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens.
