Margaret Grice Edge, 84, of White Oak, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 20, 2009.
She was born in Bladen County to Sidney and Ada Lee Grice.
Mrs. Edge was a faithful member of Suggs Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as youth director and junior and youth choir leader for many years. She was also very involved in WMU.
In addition to her work on the family farm, Mrs. Edge worked with Bladen County Schools for over thirty years.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Vermon Marshall Edge; two brothers, Glenn Grice and Donald Grice; and one sister, Doris Humphreys. She is survived by son, David and wife, Geraldine of White Oak; daughter, Rosalie Russ and husband, Larry of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Noel E. Dennis and husband, John of Clarkton, Melanie E. Collier and husband, Rodney of Elizabethtown, and Terry Baker II and wife, Lisa of Elizabethtown; one great-granddaughter, Destiny Baker; two step grandsons, Mark and Kevin Russ, and three step great-grandsons, Travis and Trevor Dennis and Justin Collier. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Culbreth of Hope Mills and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is planned for Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, February 23, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Suggs Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Hill, Rev. Chris Humphreys, Rev. Kevin Kinlaw, and Rev. David Rutland officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
