Margaret Pope

Margaret Sanderson Pope, 78, of Clarkton died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Pope and son, William (Bill) Chauncey.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sarah Thompson of the home, daughter-in-law, Lois Chauncey of Oregon, grandsons, James Todd, David Atkinson, both of Clarkton; Kenneth Alligood of Bladenboro; Xander Chauncey of NY and Daniel Mitchell of Oregon; two granddaughters, Meghan Jaggers of SC and Jenna Anderson of Oregon and five great grandchildren.

Margaret served 25 years as an EMT with Clarkton Rescue. Those who knew her knew she was feisty and strong.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 2 pm at Clarkton Cemetery in Clarkton NC with Rev. Richard Priest officiating. With the current COVID epidemic, all attendees are asked to please wear masks and practice social distancing.
