Marion Williams

Marion Britt Williams, 86, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Golden Living Retirement Center in Lumberton, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, the late Rev. B. Frank Williams, Jr. Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Thad Williams, and wife, Tammy of White Oak, NC and her daughter, Jennifer Juren, and husband, Jay of Fayetteville, GA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Marion Beth Juren, Ann Christian Juren, Jennifer Hope Britt Juren, all of Fayetteville, GA, Amanda Lynn Everette, and husband Larry Everette of Holly Springs, NC, Justin Phillips, and wife Rebecca of Willow Spring, NC and one great grandchild, Lainee Grace Everette.
Mrs. Williams was born in Clarkton, NC in 1927 to Mr. and Mrs. D.T. Britt. She had two beloved sisters, Veronica Britt Warner and Louise Britt Spence, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Williams served over 30 years with the NC State Extension Service. She was a faithful member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the "Building the Vision" fund at the Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Golden Living for their loving care and support during the past four years of Mother's life. In addition, all the prayers, visits, cards and support from family and friends has been a great blessing to us.
A private burial will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10:00 am at Bladen Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
