Marshall Graves

Marshall \\"Monty\\' Allen Graves, Sr. age 80 of Clarkton, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House of Whiteville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Christian Graves, Sr. and Lula Agusta Allen Graves; two brothers, Albert Christian Graves, Jr. and Charles Edward Graves; and a son, Joseph \\"Joe\\" Graves. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.



He is survived by his wife, Edna Packer Graves of the home; a son Marshall Allen Graves, Jr.and wife Pam of Lexington, Kentucky; a daughter, Sharon Graves Christian and husband Ned of Charles City, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Jackie Graves and a step-son, Tim Packer and wife Hope of Clarkton; eight grandchildren, Wayne, Patty, Cathy, Jodi, Joe, Kyle, Porcha, and Josh; ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.



The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Light Church in Bladenboro. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at New Light PFB Church with Rev. Dale Hester, Rev. Dewey Ball, and Rev. Johnny Guyton officiating. Burial following at Salem Church Cemetery in Clarkton.
