Mary Elizabeth Hinsdale Slayton

Mary Elizabeth Hinsdale Slayton, 79, of Garland passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 while at Elizabethtown Nursing Center in Elizabethtown, NC. She was born on September 2, 1944 in Forsyth County.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Hinsdale and Early Alene Johnson Hinsdale, her beloved husband Franklin Eugene Slayton, Sr., and one son William Linn Slayton. Left to cherish her memory are son Franklin Eugene Slayton Jr. (Darlene) of North Carolina, daughter Elizabeth Ann Wilkerson (Brian) of Garland, NC, five grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Ashley Allred, April Slayton, Codey Slayton, and Shane Wilkerson, and two great grandchildren Preston and Paisley Allred. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
