Mary Hunsaker

Ms. Mary M. Hunsaker, 97, of 203 Glenwood Dr., Elizabethtown passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends after the services at the church.
Ms. Hunsaker was born and reared in Platte County, MO. She attended NW Missouri University, in Maryville, MO and was a graduate of the University of Tulsa, OK. She taught school in Missouri and Oklahoma and retired from Tulsa Public Schools. She was a member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church, The Senior Adult Choir, Bladen County Hospital Auxiliary, Oklahoma Education Assoc., the NC Retired School personnel, Elizabethtown Book Club and AARP.
In 1943, she married William F. Hunsaker who preceded her in death in 1989. Survivors include three nieces: Cpt Catherine Wray of Colorado Springs, CO; Terri P. Ghanti and husband Jay of Hannibal, MO; and Karen P. Flanagan of Madison, AL.
