Mary Mclaughlin

Mrs. Mary Weaver McLaughlin, 80, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, January 26, 2007, in Pettigrew Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Durham.



Mrs. McLaughlin died on her 80th birthday and what would have been her 59th wedding anniversary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent McLaughlin.



A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 11 a.m. in Meadow Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Brust officiating.



Mrs. McLaughlin is survived by two sons, Scott McLaughlin and wife Clara of Raleigh and Joe McLaughlin and wife Vicki of Bladenboro; two daughters, Nancy Lehman and husband John of Durham and Cathy Prevatte and husband Jim of Durham; a sister, Nancy Toms and husband Ned of Durham; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 1281, Bladenboro, NC 28320.



The family will receive friends Monday, January 29, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bladen Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
