Mattie Hunt

Mattie Adell "Dale" Hunt, age 76 of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Bladen County Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1938 in Duplin County to the late Benjamin and Mattie Catherine Batchelor Raynor. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leland Raynor, Rudolph Raynor and Edward Raynor, one sister, Ozell Rackley, and life long partner for 30 years, McRae McMillan.

Mattie is survived by two daughters, Becky Davis and husband Kevin of Raleigh and Donna Kanipe and husband Kenneth of Newton; three grandchildren, Lindsey Kilgo and husband James, Bradley Dove and wife Jennifer and Allison Dove.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 2:00 until 2:45 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with the services following at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
