Melissa Bordeaux

Melissa Ann Bordeaux, 54, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents: Rob Bordeaux and Sophia Taylor Bordeaux. Melissa leaves behind three sisters: Robbie Mabe of Bladenboro; Patricia Brisson, also of Bladenboro; and Alice "Sissy" Allen and husband Willie of Elizabethtown; a special friend, Jaimey McMillan and two special fur babies, Maggie and Bella.

Melissa was a kind, compassionate and loving person. Everyone she met loved her instantly. She loved her family and friends. Melissa was always willing to provide service to anyone in need. She was very crafty and could make anything. She also loved to sew, often creating memory bears and pillows for her family and friends. Melissa landed her dream job approximately 22 years ago when she started working for Cynthia Singletary Law Firm and she also worked as a bookkeeper for Wheatland Trucking Company. Everyone at the office quickly became her family too. Melissa was an active member of Cumberland Union Baptist Church. She loved attending church and enjoyed creating the bulletin for Sunday Services. Melissa will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Rest Easy Melissa.

A Memorial service is planned for Friday, March 8, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Patricia Brisson, 1669 Marsh Rd, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
