Mickey Packer

Mickey Dale Russ Packer, age 68, of Bladenboro passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at her home. She was born in Bladen County on February 9, 1954 to the late Charles D. Russ and Hazel Dove Russ. She leaves behind her significant other, Steve Evers of the home, daughter Deanna Packer (Johnny) of Bladenboro, son Billy Paul Packer (Jeanette) of Clarkton, stepsons, Steven Evers II (Kristy) of Kansas, Brent L. Evers (Sarah) of Asheville, and Shane Evers (Laura) of Clarkton, brother David Russ (Mary) of Bladenboro, aunts Joyce Ward and Linda Bordeaux, her best friend Susan Richardson, family caregiver Wanda Evers and caregiver Vanessa Fields, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Charles Packer and one sister, Mary Russ Boswell.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home followed by a burial in the McKinnon Cemetery. The Reverend Ronnie Brisson will be officiating.
