Mildred Inman

July 21, 1931 — January 30, 2019

Mildred Faith "Faye" Gooden Inman, age 87, of Elizabethtown passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 peacefully surrounded by family.

Faye was born July 21, 1931 in Bladen County. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandma, daughter, youngest sister to six brothers, and friend to many. By trade she was a cosmetologist, owned and operated Inman's Red & White beside her husband, and Parkshore's Campground at White Lake for over 40 years. Faye was a hard worker and could even be found running a register at Inman's Deli until the age of 84. Central to her life was her faith and fellowship, as a lifelong member of Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church. She served there as Chairman of the United Methodist Women and as a Sunday School Teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Gooden and Mildred Johnson Gooden; her husband George Inman, one infant daughter Paula Faye, six brothers; Elmer, Byron, Lexie, David, Mutt, Stuart Gooden, and two infant sisters.

She is survived by three children, Sandy Inman and wife Janet of Oklahoma City, OK, Georgia Stoker and husband Junior of Elizabethtown, and John Inman and wife Marilyn of Elizabethtown, five grandchildren; Jennifer Leggett and husband Brad, Cody Inman, Caleb Stoker, Faith Inman, Landen Inman; and two great grandchildren Grayson and Liza Leggett.

Visitation at Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church Saturday February 2, 2019 from 4:00pm -6:00pm. Celebration of Life Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church Sunday February 3, 2019 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery.
