Mona Smith

Mona Daly Smith, 93 of Fayetteville entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Mrs. Smith was born on November 14, 1917, in Charlotte, NC,; to J.A. and Allie Major Daly, during World War ll. Ms. Mona worked for the Base Intelligence Officer at the Air Force Base in Charlotte until in closed. She lived in Lumberton, NC for 58 years after marrying Henry Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.



Ms. Smith enjoyed bridge, bingo and was an avid Carolina fan.



A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00am at Elizabethtown City Cemetery with Dr. J. Ernest Johnson officiating.



Ms. Smith is survived by her son, Dr. Zack Smith and wife June Marie of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Wellesley Smith Lawrence of Atlanta Ga.; Patton Smith Simpson of Durham and two great grandchildren.
