Murdick Britt

Murdick McRae Britt, 97, of Bladenboro, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sadie Britt, seven brothers: Eli, Dock, JC, Hubert, Dewy, Edward and Lee Britt; sister, Hatie Jackson and great-grandson, Ashton Britt. Murdick leaves behind his wife, Betty Britt of Bladenboro; three sons: Joe (Gale) Britt of Smithfield, VA, Sammy (Charlotte) Britt, Anthony (Keesha) Britt both of Bladenboro; daughter: Brenda (Marvin) McCormick of Spring Lake, brother: Robert Britt of Texas, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Murdick loved his family and his dog, Cricket and enjoyed being with them. He was a very sweet and humble man that always thought of others. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers and weedeaters or anything mechanical.

The family will receive friends at 2pm on Wednesday, February 12th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a funeral service at 3pm. Burial will follow services in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
