Murray served on the USS Henderson as a Boilerman Class A in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
He arrived at Giorgio’s Restaurant daily at 11 am. He loved the friendly staff and enjoyed talking to his multitude of friends. They all took special care of Murray.
Although he faced serious health issues, Murray continued to pursue life to its fullest.
The family would like to thank Liberty Hospice and nurse Christy Bowen for their kindness and compassionate care of Murray.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, November 11th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at Singletary Church in Dublin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Grimes Tatum cemetery in Tarheel.
