Myrtle Croom

Myrtle Dowless Croom, age 83 of Bladenboro, died Friday, October 16, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Lee Dowless and Myrtle Hester Dowless; husbands, James Albert Kinlaw and George Franklin Croom; son, Arnold Ray Kinlaw; daughters, Lois Ann Kinlaw and Miriam Hope Kinlaw Suggs; grandson, Arnold Dan Kinlaw; great grandson, Judah Ashley Kinlaw; great granddaughter Isla Gray Kinlaw; brothers, Downey, Junior, Leslie, Ross, and Leroy Dowless; and sisters, Illa and Estelle Dowless, Evelyn Bradshaw, Retha Bryan, and Stella Burns.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Jackson (Gary Johnston) and step daughter, Alice Yvonne George; grandchildren, Ashley Jacob Kinlaw (Alison), Allen Bradley Kinlaw (Nicole), Kristy Jackson Nelson (Tyler), Jessica Leighann Jackson, Summer Nichole Jackson and Alex Johnston; and great grandchildren, Ryleigh McKenzie Jackson, Macy Hope Kinlaw, Levi Arie Kinlaw, Lillian Grace Kinlaw, and Eliza Ruth Kinlaw.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Charleston Guyton and Rev. Wilson Bryan.
