Myrtle Roberts

Myrtle Marie Pait Roberts, 93, of Bladenboro passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her home. She was born on November 19, 1917 to the late Wattie Durham Pait and Mary Butler Pait and grew up in Center Road Community of Bladen County.



Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Mr. Alonza "Gola" Roberts. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth \\"Lib\\" Roberts Morris of Bladenboro, Marion Roberts Houston and husband, Tom, of Ocean Isle Beach and A.Gary Roberts and wife, Janet, of Bladenboro.



Mrs. Roberts was the cherished grandmother of Roderick \\"Rick\\" Morris, Robert Dean Morris, Thomas Karr Houston, Jonathan Patrick Edwards, Kristin Erin Roberts Brisson, and Leah Marie Roberts Hall.



Mrs. Roberts was affectionately known as \\"Mimi\\" to her great-grandchildren, Kelly Leigh Morris, Allison Brooke Morris, Kira Marie Houston, Robert MacKenzie Morris, and Logan Thomas Houston.



Mrs. Roberts is also survived by two sisters, Hilda Hostettler of Charlotte and Mercile Hester of Conway, NC.



Mrs. Roberts was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin, NC. She served as Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, and was an active member of various committees through the years. She was recently honored as the oldest living member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts loved the Lord and lived her life as an example for her family and community. Mrs. Roberts was a dedicated homemaker and bookkeeper for the family farm and construction business.



The services for Mrs. Roberts will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin, NC. Visitation will be at 10:00 in the church fellowship hall and the funeral services will follow at 11:00 in the sanctuary. There will be a private family burial at the A.G.Roberts Cemetery. Pastors

Dr. Mack Roberts, Rev. James Hester and Rev. Jason Williams will officiate.
