Nadine Genevieve Cain, 63, of Clarkton passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at her home. She was born in France on October 21, 1959, daughter of the late Jim and Liliane Forestier Pope.
Nadine leaves behind her children, Lee Cain of Bladenboro, Joey Cain and wife Nellie of Bladenboro and Tiffany Price and husband Rocky of Whiteville, brother Steve Riggle, sister Vivian Riggle, six grandchildren, Zak Cain, Ryan Blackmon (Cay), Haley Cain, Jr. Cain, McKenzie Price, and Bailey Price, and two great grandchildren Harper Blackmon and Guy Strickland. She also leaves behind her dearest best friend, her partner in crime, and the other half of the “Thelma & Louise” bunch, Toye Benton, of Bolton.
Nadine was a loving mother, “Mimi”, and friend. She simply adored her grandchildren and enjoyed making cookies and spending time with them. She had a passion for crafting, especially crocheting, but outdoors was her favorite place to be. She always preferred the sunshine over the rain and spent countless hours in her flower beds, on the beach or by the pool. Nadine was a true “Redneck Girl” from her love of trucks and motorcycles to her flip flops. She will be affectionately remembered for her contagious smile and her compassionate nature. Her family will hold dear the legacy of the love she leaves behind, the testimony of healing she received from her cancer and the joy of knowing they will see her again.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1015 Ashes Dr. #101, Wilmington, NC 28405.
