Nancy Benton

Nancy Edwards Benton, 90, of Clarkton passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Donella Edwards, her husband, Sylvester Lee Benton, one son, Johnny Ray Benton and one daughter, Donna Benton Brown. Nancy leaves behind four children: Jannie Benton McRoberts (Alan) of Bladenboro; Barbara Benton Canady (Woody) of Fayetteville; Debbie Benton Page (Eddie) of Elizabethtown; and Randy Lee Benton (Greg) of Clarkton; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her children, grandchildren and her dogs. Nancy enjoyed watching a good western or her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves play ball. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and visiting others.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service is planned for 3 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Northside Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Ricky Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Bladen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
