Mr. Nathan Bryan Carroll, Jr., 90, of Tar Heel entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
He was born in Bladen County to the late Nathan Bryan Carroll, Sr. and Vira King Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a life-time farmer in Bladen County. He served twelve years on the ASCS County Committee "Farm Service Agency" and served as chair man for several years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and also served in many other capacities.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eunice Carroll; a son, Charles Carroll; two brothers, Ballard Carroll and Thomas Carroll; and two sisters, Lucille Taylor and Margaret Garner.
Mr. Carroll is survived by two sons, Steve Carroll and wife, Gail, of Tar Heel and Bobby Carroll and wife, Daphne, of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Ella Rae Roberts and husband, Mack, of Dublin; two sisters, Marie Storms of Carrollton, Virginiaand Wilma Hursey of Dublin; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren, and one great - great grandchild.
The visitation is planned for Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral will be Friday, January 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Hill, Rev. Phil McLean, and Dr. Mack Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery.
