Nona Bass

SUMMERFIELD-Mrs. Nona Lennon Bass, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011. She was born September 29, 1930 in Bladen Co. to the late Cade and Ruth Russ Lennon.



Mrs. Bass was a very active member of Waughtown Baptist Church and sang in the choir.



In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Blease Bass; and four sisters, and one brother.



Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Garlick and husband, Mike of Summerfield; three grandsons, Stephen, Alex, and Zachary Garlick; one sister, Linda Brisson of Dublin; two brothers, Lloyd Lennon and wife, Margaret of Winston Salem and Bobby Lennon and wife, Sue of Bladenboro.



A Funeral Service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Waughtown Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Galeed Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
