Norman Edwards

Norman Edwards, 87, of Bladenboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 13, 2008.

He was born in Bladen County to Harvey and Plummie King Edwards. He was a farmer.

Mr. Edwards was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Plummie Edwards, and one brother, Nash Edwards.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Lee Dove Edwards of the home; two sons, Leroy Edwards and wife, JoAnn of Lumberton, NJ Edwards and wife, Hilda of Dunn; one daughter, Catherine Edwards Singletary Cartner and husband, Johnny, of Bladenboro; three brothers, Sanford Edwards of Bladenboro, Richard Edwards of Fayetteville, and HJ Edwards of Lumberton; three sisters, Teshie Cheshire of Kinston, Carrie Mae Watson of Bladenboro, and Annie Grace Willard of Tabor City; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation is planned for Monday, December 15, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 11:00 am at Sandy Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Strole, Rev. Mitchell Nance, and Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will follow the service in Bryant Cemetery on Jerrods Road.
