Patricia “Mickey” Faye Hargrove Tatum, 87, of Elizabethtown passed away at her home on Monday, December 2, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Bladen County on July 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Ralph Hargrove and Pauline Storms Hargrove.
She was preceded also by her brother, Robert H. Hargrove, sister-in-law, Alethea Hargrove, brother-in-law, Grady C. Hester, and daughter-in-law, Polly Tatum.
Left to cherish her memory are beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Colvin Tatum of the home, son Robert G. Tatum (Genny) of Fayetteville, daughter Paula Weaver of the home, sister Mary Ann Hester of White Oak, four grandchildren, Patty Osborne (Michael), Matthew Weaver, Megan Weaver, and Rachel Tatum, and three great grandchildren, Eric Osborne, Paul Osborne, and Liberty Osborne.
Mickey was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. The highlight of her life was to spend time with her family, especially cooking and eating together on Sundays and spoiling her grandchildren, as well as her great grands. She also loved to travel, watch the Young and the Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful on tv, and sneaking food to Paula’s dog without anyone knowing. Her beautiful memory of love, joy and laughter will forever be cherished in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Christ Community Baptist Church, 4761 NC 53 Hwy West, White Oak, NC 28399.
