Pearlie Bridgers

Pearlie Mae Bridgers, 94, of Riegelwood passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents: Johnathan and Lola Helms; four brothers: McKinely, Claude, Roy, Paul; two sisters: Ettra and Ruth.

She is survived by daughter: Lola Bridgers Meggs and husband Bobby of Riegelwood; three sons: David Bridgers and wife Veda of Brunswick, Alfred Bridgers and wife Jeri of Delco, Mark Bridgers of Riegelwood; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Pearlie was Salutatorian of her high school graduating class of 1939. Her hobbies were her family who she loved with all her heart and working in her flower garden. She especially enjoyed cooking special dishes that they loved. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Riegelwood for at least 50 plus years.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 6-8pm at Wesley United Methodist Church in Riegelwood. A funeral service will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 2pm at the church with Dr. Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow service in Weyman Methodist Church cemetery.

At other times, the family will receive friends at 17491 Old Lake Rd. Riegelwood, NC 28456.
