Peggy Sue Singletary, 61, of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Annette Dawson and father, Fletcher Bordeaux.
Peggy leaves behind her husband, Webb Knox Singletary III of the home; three sons: Jonathan Carroll, Christopher Carroll, Greg Smith; three daughters: Sonya Lowery and husband Chris, Tonya Guyton and husband Dewayne, Casey Smith; brother, Buddy Bordeaux and wife Jill; two sisters: Jenny Estadt and husband John, Dottie Fowler and husband Tim; ten grandchildren: Destiny Martin, Taylor Wilkerson (Tyler), Brandon Buffkin, Justin Ortiz (Ayden Jones), Ashley Hilton (Conrad), Zack Singletary, Hannah Weeks, Andrew Weeks, Jaycee Davidson, Bethany Lowery; four great-grandchildren: TJ Wilkerson, Anakin Wilkerson, Jasper Hilton, and Timberly Lovett.
Peggy cherished the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at the mountains. She enjoyed taking pictures of nature, bird watching, working outside in her yard, and baking all kinds of goodies for her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed teaching her grandson, J.J. how to grow his own vegetables and how to be a little country boy. Her kind and generous spirit will live on in those that knew her best.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Sunday, February 20th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 21st at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Bruce Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Bordeaux Cemetery.
