Phyllis “Nana” Bowers Jessup, 75, of Elizabethtown passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roger Jessup and her parents, Uyless Lloyd Bowers and Lonnie Mae Taylor Bowers. Left to cherish her memory are son, Ethan Jessup and wife Sharon of Elizabethtown, brother Jimmy Lloyd Bowers and wife Patty Lynn of Franklinton, sister Sylvia Joyce Robbins of Louisburg, grandchildren, Dawson Taylor Jessup, and Jessi MaKayla Jessup, and extended grandchildren Ashley Jessup and Horace Harling.
Phyllis was a devout Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She served God with her whole heart and trusted that He could conquer all things. She spent a lifetime loving her family, being a faithful wife and an adoring mother, always teaching them the true things that matter in life. Phyllis also known as “Nana” never hesitated to let others know how proud she was of her son and his family, especially her grandson “Tady Bug” and her granddaughter “MicMic”. She was a mother to anyone who needed love. She never met a stranger. Phyllis loved to talk and create lasting friendships. Her unconditional love will forever be felt by all who were touched by her life here.
At Phyllis’ request, there will be no services planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to any cancer research facility of one’s choice.
