Ralph Walters

Ralph E. Walters Jr., 87, of Elizabethtown passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph E. Walters Sr. and Zelma Hardin Walters, one brother Gilbert Walters and one granddaughter Tina Marie Bass. Ralph is survived by his wife Nancy Swinson Walters of the home; son Jack Walters of Utah; three daughters: Penny Mahaffey and husband Richard of Mt. Airy, NC; Joyce Walters of White Oak; and Patsy Stevenson and husband Bob of Utah; step-children: Carolyn Weeks of Erwin and Jimmy Gainey and wife Judy of Clinton; four brothers: Jerry Walters of Southport, Bobby Walters and wife Lois of Wilmington, Dick Walters and wife Kathy of Tar Heel; and Bennett Walters and wife Dianne of Washington State; four sisters: Shirley Fox and husband Lou of West Virginia; Laura Rice and husband Ed of Elizabethtown; Mary Lee Walters of Elizabethtown; and Brenda Bryan and husband James of Dublin; three grandsons: Clint, Clay, and Casey, three great grandsons: Nolan, Daxon, and Brexton and one great granddaughter Angel.

Ralph was a loving but firm man. He loved his family especially those grands. Ralph also enjoyed farming, working on tractors and lawnmowers and spending time with his animals. He will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10 am at Live Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery in White Oak, NC.
