Ramona Skipper Smith, age 51, of 533 Oak Island Road, Bay Tree Lakes, went to be with her Savior in Heaven, Sunday, January 11, 2009, after battling breast cancer for several years.
She and her husband, Jim R. Smith, lived in Indiana for 22 years, where they previously owned and operated two Rehab/Massage Clinics, prior to relocation in her native state of North Carolina.
She touched and impacted many patients and their families as Rehab Director for 5 years at Elizabethtown Nursing Center. Always very busy,she had an additional massage practice at Bladen Fitness Center, and found time to perform as Medical Transcriptionist as well. Integrity, compassion, hard work were some of her qualities her friends and family will remember.
Although she grew up in her early years playing the piano at Abbottsburg Baptist Church, her faith matured, and her vision of the Christian faith expanded and she was active in a variety of different denominational churches in the area.
Being a cheerleader at Clarkton High School, she had become a cheerleader for Christ.
She was a loving and devoted mother of her 3, four-legged children, Prissy, Brittany and Buttons.
By her request a private celebration memorial of her life will he held at a future date and her ashes will be sprinkled over Bay Tree Lake.

Surviving are her husband, Jim R. Smith of the home; her Mother, Ruby Skipper of Abbottsburg; and her brothers, Dean Skipper and Walter Skipper and their families of South Carolina and North Carolina, respectfully.
