R.C. McLamb, 65, of Clarkton, entered into rest Saturday, February 16, 2008.
Mr. McLamb was born in Bladen County to the late George and Martha McLamb. He was self-employed as a mechanic.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Martha Lewis McLamb; wife, Esther McLamb; brothers, Clarence McLamb and McCrae McLamb; sisters, Dianne Edwards, Betty Ann McLean, and Lucille Hardison.
Mr. McLamb is survived by one son, Cecil McLamb and his future wife, Yeshenia Acevedo of Lumberton; one daughter, Lisa Todd-Stubbs and husband, Kevin, of Clarkton; two brothers, Levie Hathaway of Lexington, NC and Ronnie McLamb of Bladenboro; two sisters, Fostine Hamilton of Lagrange, NC and Veronica Harris of Clarkton; seven grandchildren, April Prevatte, Brandy Todd, Tristian McLamb, Bailey McLamb, Shania McLamb, Hermione McLamb, and Giovanni Rivera; and one great grandchild, Camden Prevatte.
Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Bladen Funeral Home. The funeral is planned for Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Salem Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Leroy Wright and Rev. Kenny Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
