Ricky Mintz

Ricky Franklin Mintz, 31, of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Shelby and Vernon Shaw, one brother, Bobby Wilkins Jr. and one uncle, Andy Shaw. Ricky is survived by his mother, Gloria Wilkins (Bobby) of the home; his father, James Mintz of Council; paternal grandparents, James and Jeanette Mintz, grandmother, Linda Wilkins; one brother, Adam Wilkins (Kendra) of Bladenboro; one sister, Mindy Pancoast (Sam) of Bladenboro, two nephews, Landon Gause, Trenton Pancoast and one niece, Gemma Wilkins.

Ricky was a loving son, brother and uncle. He cherished his family and friends. His niece and nephews held a special place in his heart. Ricky hated to see anyone cry. He would wipe their tears and say, “We’re not doing that”. Ricky loved horses, fishing and joking around with everyone. He dressed to impress always. His beautiful smile and big heart will be missed by all who love him.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service is planned for Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gloria Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow the services in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
