Robert Dowless

Robert Milton Dowless, 76, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, October 23, 2006, at his home.



Born March 20, 1930, in Bladen County, he was the son of Robie and Annie Belle Dowless.



Mr. Dowless is preceded in death by his parents, Robie and Annie Belle Dowless; brothers, Henry Dowless and Leroy Dowless; and sisters, Mary Jane Hester, Margaret Hester, Irene Carter, McCree Carroll, and Isabel Kinlaw.



He is survived by his wife, Nadine Dowless of the home; daughters, Diane Miller of Elizabethtown, and Cindy Blanks of Lumberton; brothers, Aaron Dowless of Hampton, VA, and Jayford Dowless of Bladenboro; sister, Ella Mae Harris of Hope Mills; grandchildren, Chaura Caston, April Miller, Crystal Miller, and Bryan Blanks; and great grandchildren, Chelby Caston, and Cayden Rose Caston.



The visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Bladen Funeral Home and at other times at the home. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26, at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Dr. David Elks and Rev. Jerry Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Family Cemetery.
