Robert Jessup

Robert Henry Jessup, Jr., died peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2015, after a long illness at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Whiteville, NC. Robert Henry, the son of the late Robert Henry and Lucille Munroe Jessup was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Rose Brisson Jessup and his parents. He is survived by his son, Robert Henry Jessup, III and wife Kimberly Moore Jessup of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Robert Henry Jessup, IV and Hannah Whitley Jessup; a sister, Judith Munroe Jessup Barnes and husband, Thomas Kohn Barnes, and their children, Thomas Kohn Barnes, III and Suzanne Barnes English and husband Beau; and special cousins and caregivers Gayle and Ken Boykin and Ann Jessup MacDuffee.

Robert was a well-known automobile dealer and farmer. Throughout his life he was involved in many civic organizations and a member of the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb Cemetery Fund, 407 Munroe Rd., Council, NC 28434 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice House, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
