Robert Leggett

Robert Earl Leggett, 62, of Bladenboro, formerly of Dublin, NC passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Ashley Leggett and Annie Ree Sessoms Leggett and one brother, John Thomas Leggett. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Joanie Renee Leggett of the home, two sisters: Betty Leggett Fields of Henderson, NC; Patricia Leggett Cashwell of Fort Pierce, Florida, his mother-in-law, Linda G. Bryan and father-in-law, Herbert Bryan of Bladenboro; sister-in-law, Lisa Loflin and brother-in-law Jones Loflin of Denton, NC, two special nieces, Sydney Loflin of Denton, NC and Alex Loflin of Cary, NC; several other nieces and nephews.

Robert was a hardworking, loving man that adored his family and community. He worked with Bladen County Rescue for 23 years, a volunteer for Dublin Fire Department and retired from Bladen County Sheriff Department in 2017.

The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 4 pm at Greater Vision Church in Bladenboro on Thursday, November 14, 2019 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4 pm with Rev. Elvin Meares officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Greater Vision Church in Bladenboro or the Kidney Foundation.
